k i just took a few pics of it but it's a little deflated right now. it does this once or twice day but it goes back to normal within a few hours. i am starting my own thread so i will post them there in a few minutes.
I started doing that after I saw my magnifica catch and eat a cleaner shrimp shell and all. I don't know if there is a benefit to the anemone to have the whole shrimp, but I want to match the natural diet as well as I can. Who knows if they can get something (like maybe iodine) out of the exoskeleton, but they deal with it in nature and the healthy magnificas I have don't seem to regurgitate shells whole. With or without the shells the waste I have seen is completely digested to brown snotty stuff. I could be missing some solid poop, but I haven't seen sign of it yet in the tank.Originally posted by elegance coral
Just curious, why do you leave part of the soft exoskeleton on the shrimp?
