H.malu in trouble

My malu that Ive had for about 1 month. Has been acting very weird lately. It has moved and now it's foot is not buried in the sand. The other worrying thing is that it somehow flips itself over everyday so it's mouth is in the sand. When it does this it still stays fully inflated and looks good just upside down.

Any advice or suggestions

The anemone is probably on its way out, unless you manage to fix whatever's bothering it - Definitely do a good sized water change and test your parameters for problems.

This is bad timing cause I'm going away for 10 days and I would hate to come back to a tank full of dead critters cause the nem died and raised ammonia.

This sucks, what should I do

When do you leave town? +1 on the water change.. also running carbon. With your 50g tank and good skimmer I bet you would be fine if it is well established.. Unless it is a huge anemone..

Remember they are 90% water and really aren't any bigger than a small fish as far as biomass..

Out of town of now in DC. It seemed to do better once I did a water change and reburied it in the sand in a new spot. Hopefully I will return to everything being ok

well, came back to a dead nem. With the heat wave hear in the mid-west, my tank reached almost 90 degrees. Not sure if this was the dominant factor of why it died but it did and also had some coral bleaching as well.
