Hey everyone, 90 gallon mixed reef, maybe 125 gallons total volume, ati 6 bulb sunpower, reef octo diablo.
Traded a fellow reefer for a green haddon about 9 inches, he had it for over a year in his tank under MH, its more lime green, mouth closed tight and has remained so for 4 weeks now, I place him in my choice of spots and he attached within minutes, over the next week he was creeping into my rock work, after week 2 he was all the way to the back of the tank under the rocks, He gets some light back there but not a lot, Hes been in this spot for 2 weeks now, I have fed him twice small shrimp pieces and he snatches them into his mouth instantly.

My question is how long before I should tear the rocks down and get him?

Its an in wall tank viewable from front and left side, Have mp40 on right end, mp10 on back wall near left end, 750 PH on right lower rear blowing behind rock work, so hes getting some flow back there. also 3 inch SB.
Just don't think its good for him in that spot long term, am I correct?

Temp 78
Alk 9
Cal 440
Mag 1300
SG 1.025
no detectable levels on all others

I've learned that there is not much you can do to select a spot for carpet anemones, they will go wherever they feel most comfortable. What you could do is point your powerheads if possible to the place you DONT want him to go as they dont like a lot of flow.

The hydor 750 PH is blowing on him pretty good, I just don't know how he is getting enough light to thrive back there.

Hi, is this the only nem in the Tank? I have to agree with tassod. these guys are very flow sensitive. Since he is being stubborn, then I would take the flow off of him and see if he expands. If he does, then the only way to move him would be manually. I have seen that in my tank, flow always takes top spot over lighting. If you are feeding him, then light can be a little less crucial.

Good luck
