Haddoni and sexy shrimp question

I have a large green Haddoni and I was wondering how hard it would be to get some sexy shrimp to host in it. I have heard they host in the carpet anemone.

Am I way off base here or is it as simple as getting 3 or 5 and putting them in near the carpet and hoping they stay? I read in Shimek's that they are best in odd numbers.

Info about my system:

My tank is a 150 gallon. The Haddon is over a year old. I also have two Sebae nems that are over 2 years old hosted by O. clowns that spawn twice a month. I also have two RBTA's that are small recent additions.

The clowns stay away from the carpet so I don't think they would bother the shrimp.

Lots of SPS. Everything is healthy. Water quality is good.

My biggest worry is I have a large engineer goby. I don't think he would snack on them but he might, I keep him well fed. The engineer goby stay's away from the carpet.

I can only speak about a porcelain crab...

I placed the crab on a rock near my S. Haddoni, within a day it was being hosted by it. I would just do something similar. Would for sure NOT place it right onto/into the anemone, unless you want an expensive snack.

Good advice. There is some pretty good rockwork around the Haddon, I was thinking of placing the shrimp in a small tupperware bowl with some holes in it near that rockwork and the nem so they could venture out at their liesure.

I was also going to make sure the engineering goby was well fed beforehand.

I'm going to try and pick them up tomorrow, I'll keep you posted.

I changed directections today and ended up with a nice anemone crab. after aclimating I put him in a black cup with some rubble near the carpet. That way he could venture out when he was ready. After the lights went out sure enough he went straight for the carpet.

I snapped a pic, it's real dark so the quality is bad. Hopfully he stays and I'll get some better pics.

I have two sexy shrimps in my tank with S. haddoni and several S. tapetum the maxi variety. The shrimps move from anemones to coral and sometime just on to the rocks. About 60% of the time they would be in one of my anemones. I do not have any predator in my tank so it maybe the reason why they don't away stay in the host. It is a 100 g cube tank with Powder Blue tang, A. percula pair and one Leopard wrase

We have numerous sexy shrimp in our tank and they host everything even the carpets. I love to sit and watch them. I would still add some, you won't regret it.
