I have a large green Haddoni and I was wondering how hard it would be to get some sexy shrimp to host in it. I have heard they host in the carpet anemone.
Am I way off base here or is it as simple as getting 3 or 5 and putting them in near the carpet and hoping they stay? I read in Shimek's that they are best in odd numbers.
Info about my system:
My tank is a 150 gallon. The Haddon is over a year old. I also have two Sebae nems that are over 2 years old hosted by O. clowns that spawn twice a month. I also have two RBTA's that are small recent additions.
The clowns stay away from the carpet so I don't think they would bother the shrimp.
Lots of SPS. Everything is healthy. Water quality is good.
My biggest worry is I have a large engineer goby. I don't think he would snack on them but he might, I keep him well fed. The engineer goby stay's away from the carpet.
