Yep. I was wrong. I have to agree with everyone else... foot looks haddoni... the foot doens't look like a mertens, but your first couple pics look just like mine has in the past. Cichlidconvert, sorry for jumping the gun, wishful thinking on my part. Still, a beauty!

deangelr, nice coloring on yours. Do you have any better pics, more recent? Maybe a link to one of your threads? Man that thing is tiny!

So here is a pic of it today. Definitely haddoni which is fine by me. But the color of the disk is amazing. It's definitely purple. It looks blue in the pic but it's a beautiful purple. I tried to photo shop it but it everything looked out of whack once I got it the right purple. The second pic is detail of the tips.

Here is a pic of it. It has grown quite a bit. The color for the most part is the same. Only the very tips are yellow at this point. But it's 10-12"

Yep. so far that is. no signs of foul play. He remains a lavender color from a distance. Up close he's purple with yellow tips and those are in tight patches around the edge. It's growing fast but the color isn't filling in
