Last weekend My auto topoff failed dumpiung about 12-15 litres of kalk into my 50 gallon tank.
I was away a the time and for the next day and a half The tank was introuble. when I found it I fered the worse I had lost a large frogspawn and two cleaner shrimp. The water was so cloudy that All I could see was the occasional flash form my clarks clowns.
I drained 65% of the water and drained it and did a water change then used carbon and left it over night, the salinity had dropped from 1.025 to 1.022 I corrected it to 1.024 and later to 1.025.
The next day all looked grim apart from my haddoni which was fully expanded and tight mouthed I was amazed. All my fish survived I think cos the skimmer was going full tilt and i have an overflow drilled into the cup.
My leather, star polyps and zoos all closed up tight.
Anywhoo on monday my haddoni moved itself into a cave whith only a small part of the oral disc showing and there it has stayed, mouth tight looking fine all week but it has refused food twice since but is still sticky.
the stars and leather are finally opening up today along with the zooz and I did another large water change and changed the carbon (also removerd the auto topoff).

But the Nem although looking good is still in the cave barly exposed to the light and still has not eaten.
I really dont want to move it and would like it to come out by itself what should I doo as i am over the worst now i think.

Here was the tank before (brings a tear to my eye) I dont have a camera today but the nem is now in the rockwork directly behind the place it was. the frogspawn is no more.

Sorry to hear about that. Next time try a timer on your ATO pump. Set it for one minute every 6 hours or so and it may prevent this in the future.
