Haddoni spectrum

my tank is 7 years old and after 1 year i bought a green carpet. my lighting is 8 48' vhos on a 150g tank i had corallife bulbs first (they suck). Once one blew out after 3 months i switched to uri and love them had 4 aquasun and 4 super actinics. A few months later i got the nem and it moved to a spot and anchored itself through the deep sand bed to the bottom of the tank well it grew over the years i bought 2 maroons and they became a mated pair. i liked the way it looked, after three years i replaced my bulbs i know a long time but it worked. The aquasuns were backordered so i got actinic whites well my nem did not like this it didn't open fully. I waited a week and ordered 2 454s and 2 aquasuns and the nem liked it and opened. So recently a guy moved in next door and has a 180 with mh lights like 20k i liked the look and switched to mostly actinic with some actinic whites and the nem hated it it actually slid around a corner of a rock, I waited a bit and changed one bulb to aquasun 10k spectrum and now happy. I researched this type of nem and found they live in like 3ft of water and like the 6-10k spectrum or full spectrum, i want the look of actinic in my tank. I also have a mix reef with acros softies and lps. Has anyone heard of this before can my nem be ok under a higher color temp light or am i just not giving enough time. I am also experimenting on par 38 led which are nice spotlighting my sps. My nem is my centerpiece and is #1 to make happy but i want the best of both worlds if possible any suggestions appreciated

I have 14k 150 watt metal halides and my haddonis seem to be thriving. Sounds like you are changing lighting too much and not letting the anemone get used to it.

Actinic VHOs and 20K MH are totally different. The MH, though blue, still has a fair amount of white light in it. If you use enough 20K light you will get enough white light to keep it healthy. The actinic VHOs are made to put out blue light in a very specific spectrum and very little white light, so it doesn't work the same.
