Hair Algae Solution That Worked For Me

Wal-Mart sell this stuff? I've tried all three LFSs around me. And if they have to order it for me, I mise well order it off eBay and save a couple bucks.
 
This is a marine/reef aquarium product and doubt if walmart sells it. You could check petco! may be they have it. I also saw it in a catalog from DFS I received yesterday!

Took a look @ your project done last year (actually, probably an going project) very nicely done, it's great to have such understanding wife....got to love that.

I to have my "fishroom" in the basement, I really like it there as if I spill SW or get a leak no biggie just wet vac and all done.

Getting ready for the SU B-Ball game coming up in couple of minutes....up here in NNY ( about 70 N of Sycacuse)....

Try to find the cause of the HA ............you the deal....It's nice to have a "fix" like this, BUT it doesn't really "solve" the problem...IMO...Good Luck and HAPPY NEW YEAR....

Yeah, pet smart sells it. I picked some up from there about a week ago. So far its been helping slowly. It doesn't seem to be getting pale and dying off it seems to just be slowly disappearing. The hermit crabs are actually eating at it for once too.
 
Good results so far, I'll try to post "during" pics this weekend. Think everyone will be surprised! (Just added #3 tonight...)
 
D.... I am glad to hear that thing are going good for you.

I have started my first dose and skimmer and carbon/phosban are off. I'll let people know how things go with me.
 
Hey guys.....I am very interersted in this product after reading this thread. I am in the midst of a hair algae war right now. Did you guys remove the carbon from your sump when using this product?

Hi Jim,

I was not running any carbon. I did leave my phosphate reactor and my skimmer running though. Maybe others that have run carbon will weigh in.
 
Im still running carbon and phosban its been a day since my second dose and I can see the difference already. The HA is turning a lighter shade of green and some of it has started floating off the rock.

So you started on the 5 th correct ?? and since then you have used it twice ??? great results so far if so...

I don't recall your setup(s)..are you growing macro's, refurgium what have you ???
