Hairy Mushroom grow a new mouth?

if I cut a large hairy mushroom from my rock cuz it was too large for my tank and i left some of it pretty much unharmed will that new piece heal and grow a mouth to become a new mushroom? or will it die there cuz it has no mouth? and should i cut it from the rock too?

Yea, don't cutt the mouth. Just cut the tissue and it should grow into 2.

It would have prbly spilt anyways. I started with1 and now have 4 within 6 months.

Yea, I would, if it's really big it should split itself. How big is your shroom?

not very big at all anymore since i cut all of him off the rock cept like a 1/2 inch on the end of the rock... but it has no mouth on it... it was about 4 inches around i guess... and growing over my zoos and over my colt and into my red mushrooms... but if the piece i left doesnt grow a mouth it'll start dying off and i'll cut that off too... that'll be nothing compared to cutting the huge whole mushroom

yeah hopefully it'll grow a mouth... or recover somehow without one... if not its not that much left to cut off again...
