there have been larger ones posted on this board. the largest I've ever had in the 29 was around 9". looked pretty creepy at first, but when you consider how much crud an animal that size can handle...

I bet I have more than 300 easy in my 25 gallon tank - never see them much until I left a rock and/or feed. I have to be careful when I handle the rocks, etc because these little red ones sting a little. Otherwise I think they are very beneficial and I would never kill one on purpose. This tank has beautiful sand.
