Hand Feeding Sailfin

I am beginning to hand feed my Sailfin Tang. He is about 2 in. in diameter. Is this OK and also if he misses and gets me, how bad could it be? Can he do any damage? He seems to have a pretty good tug on the food.

I wouldn't be concerned with hand feeding tangs. It's the triggers & puffers you have to be careful with.

I had a 5in. Sailfin that would try to whack me with his tang every time I put my hand in the tank. Got me a couple of times and it put a hole in my hand

I hand feed my 8 inch SF and my 10 inch Naso. They are adept at pulling the food from my fingers. I do this to give them a flake food without distibuting in through out the tank. Plus it is fun. No ill effects to me or the fish. The only down side is they act more like dogs some times rather than fish, always waiting for the hand to appear rather than displaying natural behavior. I do feed them live and frozen food as well as nori.
