Hang On DIY Nitrate Coil?

Hi folks. A friend of mine who shall remain sumpless is in need of a denitrator and I was hoping that somebody could help me figure out/find some DIY plans for a hang on? Thanks in advance for your help!

I can't find the link for the thread but check out The Talking Reef Podcast episode 88 from 1/18/07 entitled DIYTubeFuge. It is basicly a low flow hang on back dark sump made from a 3x20 inch pvc pipe filled with rubble.

I not sure if that is what you are looking for but I'm thinking about giving it a try.

a podcast is an audio program that you can download to you computer or mp3 player. think of it like radio or tv on demand. sometimes it's a video other times just audio. the podcast i was referring to is a how to video.

Thanks! Will you be using a siphon or a pump to run the coil?

a MJ1200 I don't have a sump. So far the pump pushes the water good throug the 2 75' coils and I need to slow it down.
