Hardy lil' ball anemones

Youngsilver

C'est un touche-à-tout
So, tonight, I was moving the LR all to one side in the 300g at the resturaunt, and I found about 25 ball anemones! I never would have thought first of all that they would even be in there, that tanks is so void of life. Secondly I was amazed that they could have withstood the extremely high nitrates. I had heard people say that these little buggers were tough, but wow. I was also surprised to find oen rock had amphipods on it, running into the holes as I picked it up. I am amazed that these critters could survive the 500+++ nitrates for such a long period of time.

For anyone who doesnt know what a ball anemone is, it looks like this, and about the size of a dime or smaller. The ones I found tonight had white balls though:

Holy Cow! No Joke!!?? That tank is just a surprise of the ability for life to adapt and survive. A true testament to the will of life on Earth. Thanks for sharing. I got to drop back by there soon just to see it.

Dont go anytime this week, I added most of the sand saturday night, unless you wanna see a mud tank haha

They are similar, but nope. Club Tipped Anemones (Corynactis californica) or another species ; Orange Ball Anemone (Pseudocorynactis caribbeorum). Different Genus ;) Of course, there is always confusion with Common Name though.
