Has anyone had LASIK surgery????............

My brother had it done. Is now on his 4th corrective surgery one one eye, from a very highly regarded expert. Sometimes there is a problem.

I had mine done a year ago. You have to have no changes for a year in eye sight. I went to LA with a DR. Lee. He has done over 40 thousand pair of eyes. I never thought it could be so good not to put in contacts. I was near sighted. If your eye sight is realy bad you have to go back 2 times. All in all its well worth the investment.

I had it done at TLC in Chicago area 6 years ago, BEST thing I ever did, went from 20/200 to 20/15, no halo or night diving issues at all. At that time Dr. Probst did 25,000 sets of eyes, I would hate to guess how many he has done now. Best thing too, They guarentee for life with an annual check up from your eye doc

I did mine 5 years ago. Had to have one redo on right eye, but I had VERY bad eyesight. 4500 bucks - best money I ever spent.

Just curious as to what everyones contact power was at?

Mine are at -9. Is it even possible for them to fix my eyes?

i would say to look at other less invasive ways to correct your vision. there are a few out there. the thing that bothers me about lasik is that it is not reversable so when the cut and if they cut too much thats it end of story you gotta live with it. some people have had the best procedure done on them and yet they cannot see as well as they could before, why is this we dont know yet. I would say hold off for the long term studies to come back and you actually might hear a tune change in the lasik song and dance. look into corneal refractive therapy (crt) all it does is remolds your eyes kinda like the orthodontist does for teeth. take em out during the day and you can see all day long with out correction. some people can go several nights with out wearing the lenses and see 20/20 or better. personally i use it and have great results with it. there are days it doesnt respond well but those are usually when im sick and the physiology of my cornea has changed a bit. my best vision with the use of the lenses has been 20/10 you can even see outta the lenses you wear at night. the only major drawback is that they (the lenses) can be hard to adapt to at first but once you get used to them its smooth sailing. feel free to pm me with more questions.

I had 7.5's and had it done almost 7 years ago...Best money I ever spent. I was 20/20 or better in both eyes. Today, my right eye could probably use a tune up, but due to some unrelated issues, I probably wont get it done.

oh yea, mine wasn't the laser, it was the first generation spinning saw blade...boy that was scary...

I had mine done by Dr. Slone in Hinsdale.Great experince.I payed 4K .I would pay 10K for what I got in return.Slone includes all the extras.Cutting edge...pun intended.Do it.
