Has anyone lost a fish

I have had a blue devil damsel for a while now, and all of a sudden it died in the last 12 hours or so. I noticed yesterday that he was acting funny, and standing straight up against the sidewall. I am wondering if he could have been stung by a coral, Hammer or Frogspawn. Any ideas?

If he died of a coral sting (unlikely for a damsel) you'd probably see a mark in the body.

Any signs of wounds, disease or parasites?

Of course I didn't look at the body, that would be too smart, and water is as usual, my other 2 damsels and my puffer are swimming fine with no heavy breathing or anything. But from what I saw yesterday his color was okay, he did darken for a little bit, and I didn't see any wounds the brief time he was out of the rock work. I dunno kind of odd for him to just kick over like that. Thanks all

Have you done any recent water changes they may have thrown salinty off a little? I recently lost mine to a slight change in salinty (I think). They are very sensitive! This one started acting very spastic (more then usual). I placed it in an isolation tank and it stressed itself to death. At least that is all I could come up with because of no outward signs except the change in behavior.

Nothing out of the ordinary. I have a violet comet and a 4 stripe damsel. Most damsels are suppose to be very hardy. I just can't seem to understand since she ran the tank, maybe it was payback and the other two teamed up on her, but she wasn't nipped anywhere. Who knows, she just started acting funny overnight.

LOL yeah no doubt. She was the second fish I put in the tank, and the one my oldest son wanted, so he was more upset than I was. Oh well just means I can get something else without the worry of her picking it to death like she did my Manderin.
