Has anyone tried the super cheap pH probes on Amazon?

I ordered one a bit over a week ago to try against my American Marine probe running on my Apex. It's coming from China slowly. I should search the selling forums for a PM1 and run two at a time to compare I guess.

Has anyone used one of these?

For 8 bucks I had to try... I have a normal probe already.

I have one that I have not used yet.
My main concern is that it comes with a jar of liquid, a syringe, and instructions printed in chineese.
I am not sure what to do with the liquid.

IMHO, spend $40 on a real double junction ph probe. just search for double junction ph on amazon or ebay.

I do already have a proper probe, this is for fun, not because I am cheap! What was your experience with the probe? Was it accurate, calibrate-able?

Fairly sure that cheap one comes with every reef angel controller..
It was accurate when I was playing with it and stayed fairly accurate for a year or so..
(It came with the RA so I just had it hooked up.. Never really paid much attention to it but anytime I did for giggles it was fine)

Of course unless you are running a calcium reactor I personally see little point in even monitoring PH..
Keep your alk right and for the most part PH takes care of itself..
