Hatching Brine Shrimps

I always find it very difficult to seperate brine shrimps when hatched and the eggs.

I am just wondering how do you guys do, please post pictures or write any info about what method do you prefer to use.

Thanks

I've used an ordinary 2L pop bottle. after 24 of airation, take out the airline and leave the bottle to sit for a couple of minutes. The shells will float and the shrimp will settle. Use a piece of rigid airline connected to a piece of flexable airline and immerse the rigid into the bottle until just about the bottom. Start a syphon, running the baby brine into a fine mesh net.

bsw445 has got it right. They seem to settle faster (for me) if they have no light getting into the two liter. I disconnect the air, cover with a thick towel and wait a min or two then siphon out of the bottom of the container. I stretch my brine out over two or three days by feeding a little every day.

I hold the siphon tube just above the unhatched cysts in the bottom of my pop bottle hatcher.
Another thing I learned was to rinse the hatching bottle out in very hot water, but not to clean it.
Soon, a film builds up on the sides so that when siphoning, most of the hatched cysts floating on the top, adhere to the sides of the container, making it easier to siphon right down to just above those unhatched cysts on the bottom.
I then rinse the nauplii in fresh water (not salt water) before using them or placing them in the growout containers.
