That's kinda like how my fish look dropping like flys from ich! I m on a roll of about 2 losses a day. I got every fish I wanted from southwest saltwater and they were amazing. But I saw a beautiful gold rim tang at a killer price at desert pet so I said what the hell! Well with that, that is were I sent all the fish in my 400 gal reef. I will never again buy any thing from any other store then southwest. Now don't get me wrong desert pet is not a bed store for fresh water and dogs, cat, and all that lame stuff! Well I guess I m done *****in about my pour decision!

same here southwest is the only store i will by from. 100 dollar frags and bugs are not good. southwest has good prices and good people.. and they dont charge you the price of there utility bills for equipment and frags..

sorry for the rant. theres some anger here

That can happen with a fish from any store. I just went through it. QT is the only 100% safe way to go.

.030 but man you gotta go slow and I would start with the HEAVY feeding, its like the comon cold and you need to make them fat and happy

goodluck, just got a clown from petco, a petcasso haha but anyways i dont have a qt tank set up but by the way he's looking i might get to that tonight =/

good idea

Dont buy fish from petco, pretty much every fish has ick there. I bought a stupid 6 dollar black clown goby there, and he got my hundreds of dollars in livestock all sick.

I may be wrong, but I think SWSW keeps their fish a bit medicated to keep them healthy. They always say not to acclimate any inverts and fish in the same container. I've never gotten a bad fish there. The one that I got that died the next day (not from parasites) they replaced. I can't complain about the health of their livestock and don't feel safe getting fish anywhere else at this point.

The problem is that southwest's fish aren't in the store long enough to be fully treated for ich. There's still that chance of getting that new fish with ich. Unless a fish store was to QT all arrivals in tanks other than there display tanks for 6 to 8 weeks before placing them up for sale, there still no really safe. but that would cost too much so nobody will ever do it. It doesn't matter what you feed your fish, Ich can only be cured by hypo, or copper treatments. There is other things out there that people claim work, but nothing has really been proven. I didn't believe any of this until all my fish started dying off and I was forced to. I believe it will happen to everyone eventually.

I ha d an outbreak of ich about 3 months ago and raised the salt level a bit and fed them like mad and I oly lost one little clown goby, I have not seen any sign of it since?
