HDR Clown fish

Nice pic. Also not seeing the hdr part. Sure, that's a bright orange, but hdr images typically have a higher dynamic range.

Aren't HDR shots by their very nature technically edited, since they are multiple shots merged together? Also, I am assuming this is a single exposure HDR, and he just created multiple versions of the original shot with different EVs. IME those aren't quite as dynamic as true HDR's, but that's just me...

Umm - no it's not. You might have run a single frame through some HDR software but that doesn't extend the range of the shot.

HDR, means high dynamic range. The human eye can register 12-16 stops of light depending on age and a few factors. The camera can see 5. HDR is a method of combining frames, of the same subject, at various exposure levels in an effort to more closely match the range of tones normally visible to the eye.

Unfortunately, it's often just used to make crappy photos look "neat."

And that's what I was trying to get at with this shot. It isn't a true HDR, but it still does look 'neat'.
