HEADS UP cheap Cleaner Shrimp at LFS

Just as a heads up i saw some $9.99 cleaner shrimp at that new fish store called Pets and Beyond...

The people there were nice and curetous and everything looks good...

-They said they will be saltwater up and running in a couple of weeks Looks like maybe three weeks in my opinion...
I guess these shrimps were a special deal for the meantime...Special deal or not that's cheap...so i grabed 2 anyways...

$9.99 a cleaner shrimp....

I think that's pretty cheap compared to some other prices i've seen ....FYI: $17+

Is this the place I posted about on the other thread?
This now rigs a bell, was this also the smae place that used to be behind the laundomat off Folsom Blvd?

If so, I loved the store but HATED the location.
This give me a reson to head out there to their new Loc now

Same price as "Aqua Zoo" @ Denio's in Roseville. I admit it. I go there. My name is Kevin and I've been a reef addict for 9 months.

Not to bag on a LFS's but every single thing I have purchased from Aqua Zoo has never made it through quarentine (3 weeks).

So I stopped buying from there, even though I still go look all the time when I'm down there.

Just got back from Pets and Beyond and bought 3 cleaner shrimps. Best price you can find. The owners are really cool and the salt water section is going to be up and running in 2 weeks. Real nice holding tanks and the best customer service you can get. Definately the best prices in town. They're going to see what they can do about getting a good price on salt. Make it part of your South Sac routine when you visit the shops.

Oh ya, are those skunk cleaners? I could use a couple for that price.

after school i went to get a few more...

one for my uncle and few more for me....Dang $10 for a skunk cleaner is a hot deal...I asked them if they still going to get more cleaners because apparently there were 2-3 left at around 12 noon today when i went there...

-and they said they should be getting more in next week hopefully but the price will remain the same...I think the best thing is to call them....However, I totally forgot to get their number (darn it!!)

anyways...it seems the store is going to carry not only FW and SW and Reef but it looks like its going to carry maybe even some hamsters too!!!----I think they are gearing more towards your traditional family pet store with fish, birds, small animals, and what not...i guess???

=I don't know just ask Julie one of the owners on what their plans are if you are curious...she was pretty cool to talk to...

-the store is not as big as some of the stores out here like Exotic or Capitol but more like the size of "Coral reef shop or O street or paradise"... But, the low prices on shrimps and livestock make me want to go back when they are fully setup...

-Give it time I say... it should turn out to be a good store like the rest of them here in sacramento...But right now they are still setting up tanks and getting new livestock into tanks...
