I'm trying to get my 120 up to temp, and i can't get it above 70. I have one heater tied up in my rubbermaid full of rock, so i have 1-200watt heater, and 1-100watt heater and it's not cutting it. Anyone have any extras i can borrow just to get it up, or know where i can buy cheap heaters? thanks

i have a few extra, although submersible, they are not high wattage

Your going to need between 400 and 500 watts to do the trick.

Thanks for all the offers. I emailed Cindy last night and then got really impatient and went out and bought a cheap 300watt heater at petland this morning. I'll use it for water changes when i'm done with it in the tank. I know have 600 watts in there should be up to temp soon.

Thread hijack! But it seems like you have it figured out already.
Anyway, I am replacing my CHEAPO heater today. What wattage/heater should I get for my 54 gallon with 15 sump? I keep the heater in the sump, which has 12 inches of water.
