I just got the Helfrichi Firefish. I put him in the 12g nano reef with yellow gobie and pistol shrimp. I wonder do the Helfrichi Firefish jump?? I know that firefish and purple firefish are a jumper but I have no idea about Helfrichi Firefish. All I know is this fish from deep water that what make him so expensive, I think.
thank you

all firefish you need to be caustious with. same with wrasse's.

just remeber all fish are potential jumpers :)

Thank you
I thought they not jumper. From what I read they said this fish is so expensive because they have to catch him in deep reef aread or something. But anyway thank you for your quick reply. So I guess I can not upgrade the light for my nano cube now. Just thinking about upgrade to new Viper K2 light that just come out a few week ago, so I can keep clam in my tank.
hahahaha

good luck with your fish, i would love to have one, but a $200 fish and an open top ae asking for trouble lol So i think i will wait untill i have a different set up :D You got any pics of you fish, they are so pretty

Any fish can be a jumper. I've seen frogfish end up on carpets.

Firefish are extra prone to it, and their body shape makes it easy for them to get through small holes to do a little carpet-surfing. It's true that they come from deeper water, and that can make them even more prone. The bright lights can stress them, leading to them trying to find an "escape".
