Hi ! I am new to this forum but not to Aquariums! I have kept both freshwater and saltwater aquariums on and off for over 11 years.

I live in the fort wayne area currently and was hoping to come to a few meetings and maybe a frag swap!

Are there any meetings coming up or swaps? I didnt see anything posted really since feb/march on the website.

Thanks!
Karin

Welcome KArin, We are slowing down for the summer. Things will pick back up this fall. We are having a club members cookout on the 30th. If you have any questions let us all know. We have a wide variety of experience and you may be able to help other members as well. Again welcome and look forward to talking to you more.

THanks for the reply Mojo! I will definately keep my eye out for info on upcoming meetings etc. If I can make the meeting on the 30th I will try! It sounds like it will be fun!

the cookout is club member cookout. but the membership is well worth the $15. IT will get you discounts at petwarehouse and 10% off every purchase at coral reef. So it adds up really quick. Feel free to drop me a pm if you like more info.

Karin, welcome! We are a small club just finishing up our 2nd year. We are growing by leaps and bounds and we have many members with a lot of experience in many areas of aquaria not just saltwater. We try to hold meetings monthly from Sept through May but even though we don't hold formal meetings over the summer many of us get together to exchange equipment, frags and help each other out. Just keep checking here as most of us post stuff here. Get Mojo your contact information such as email etc and we will keep you in the loop. You should give us an intro on your tanks etc. always good to know what everyone has.... :) again, welcome to the group!

Welcome Karin. Always nice to see a new local for the group. Like stated up above, we are a growing group. Our first season we had roughly 10 members, now we have somewhere around 35 or 40 I think last I counted. If you could, please email the club with your contact info and I will put you on the list to receive all of our emails about meetings or special offers for the club.

As Jesse stated our membership is $15 for the year. It gets you a discount card at Petware House, 10% off at Coral Reef, and 10% off at Sea Dwellers in Angola.

If you have any questions about the club or the hobby, please feel free to post on here, email or pm any of us and we can help, or direct you to the person in the club who can help you the best if we can't. And show us some pics of your tank or tanks.

I happened to find you lovely folks when I was searching for frag swaps / groups in the area! I am currently starting back up with a 12g Aquapod. Our home is pretty small and I got a great deal on this lil nano tank so Im taking a shot! :) In the past ive had around 29-30 saltwaters and then the ones at my old work which were a big system and display tank. Ive also kept seahorses in the past to. I love those guys but MAN are they ALOT of work! I had a pair of Eclectus.

I am having a ball reading on these forums! There is just so much information its fantastic! I got a couple small corals today a small button and a mix rock with a couple types of zoas a mushroom and a yellow polyp :) We will see how they do! they are opening up already and seem to be doing good after acclimation. The zoas are the slowest to open but im happy some of them are even opening today!

Welcome to the club! Thanks phil for the monty cap. I got all of your stuff in my 125g It's a little tight but it's ok. Don't forget see you saturday.
