Hi,

If there is a thread for new member introductions I missed it. I tried to send a PM today and found out I need at least 1 posting first, so I guess this is a good way to get started.

I've been wanting to set up a saltwater system for years and I'm getting a lot more serious about it now. We had a freshwater tank years ago while the kids we're growing up, so I have a lot to learn. This website looks like it will be a great resource.

I'm hoping to find a used tank soon to start building a FOWLR tank and then moving on to corals once I have some experience keep the tank stable. I'm sure I'll be posting more messages looking for help, so thanks in advance.

Welcome, there are many knowledgeable reefers here you can learn from.
I have two ideals that have helped me out.
1. Listen to many and form your own opinions. Most people think they are always right, and what works for one system doesn't work for another.
2. Be patient. This hobby is expensive and most failures come from trying to do too much too quick
