I guess it's time for me to finally post on here and introduce myself after years of just creeping.
My name is Jim. I'm a veterinary technician at an animal hospital in Ballwin. I'm also in school attempting to major in aerospace engineering. Maybe one day I'll finally be done.
My reef tank obsession started about 8 years ago with a 55 gallon. I quickly upgraded to a 90 gallon that I had for about 4 years. I had to break it down when I moved and bought a house when my wife got pregnant. It's been about 3 1/2 years since I've had a tank but I finally set up a 40 gallon breeder with a 20 gallon sump. It's been up and running for about 2 months now. My daughter loves helping me with it. Hopefully that will continue.

I still need to install the doors and stain the canopy.
I also have a 240 gallon tank that is pending. It's acrylic and is heavily scratch. In March I'm planning on getting it buffed out and then hopefully start the build. When I finished my basement I built a 12x12 fishtank room.

Hopefully I can get to a pizza night in the coming months and finally meet some of you. Sorry for the rambling and thanks for reading.

Aerospace engineer, eh? I was accepted into the University of Dayton eons ago for that. Always wanted to be a pilot in the Navy (Tom Cruise got the idea from me) but had terrible vision so I couldn't fly. So I figured if I couldn't drive them, Id design them. Funny how life gets in the way of your dreams sometimes.

Also, welcome to SLASH
