ACIII Temp Probe HELP!!!
My temp. has way high readings like about 105 -107-98 back to 105....
Actual reading is 76.2 F according to precision thermometer.
Tried unplugging probe and resetting ACIII..
Is the probe done ?? and needs replaced?

Any help???

do you have any other probes near it in sump? that can sometimes cause false readings.

The pH probe is abot 10" apart from the temp. probe

how old is it? probes usually last 8months to a year. Many have reported problems with temp probes of their controllers ( Neptune, reef keeper, etc)

about 6 months old ..used about 4 1/2 months
I have to make some changes tonight ...back to the separate chiller controller and plugging heaters in the outlet strip.
I am not able to make it to the LFS till this weekend. And hoping they have one....
Any other ideas to correct this or is it just time to replace it???
Thanks...

I've had two ACIII temp probes fail now in past 1.5yrs. I switched all my heaters and chillers to ranco controllers. Still use ACIII, just don't rely on it for critical temperature functions that can kill things when it screws up. My ranco has gone more than 5 yrs without a problem.

Has anybody else had this same problem with the Neptune temp. probe going bad ?? Have they ,Neptune, addressed this at all??
