Am glad to be home and not find Dom in my kitchen lmao, and glad to see everyone still alive, I got to see a 7 foot shark, around 20 nems, huge stingrays and a bunch of 5-6 feet barracudas while snorkeling, nem still alive lmao

Those cuda's are a scary lot aren't they :D

Nem looks better IMO Just keep letting it do what it want's to do. No feeding yet.

i agree that its looking a little better and promising.

Is that why it's outstretched? I think it's trying to find something to eat
no. thats not what it means.
No. :fun2:

Then tell me wise one....why is it taking so long to heal?

because its not magic its real life and things dont happen as quickly as we would like them too.
look into treating nems and you will see that no matter what the species of anemone they can all take a while to recover from various injuries and sicknesses. some nems require months to recover.

out of curiousity humor me with a logical response to this question.

knowing that BTAs are a non-predatory species of anemone and they infact do not catch fish except on rare occassion. Why would a BTA stretching mean it wants you to feed it? its not natural for them to try to catch food in a predatory manner like your insinuating that it is doing by stretching. if anything its stretching to capture more light for photosenthetic purposes which is exactly what it should be doing at this part of its recovery process. BTAs naturally only eat small particles in the water column and waste produced by resident clowns to include small bits of solids the clown may drop into the anemone. we in this hobby feed our BTAs as a form of supplementation for growth and health but its not a requirement and nor is it a medication to heal an anemone like you relentlessly keep proposing. we already covered that at the stage his anemone was in it did not have extra energy required to process solid foods so feeding it would have been more harm then good. granted now that its looking to hold its posture and form it should soon be able to process small bits of food without causing ill effect from energy usage.

as far as BTAs stretching out they do it often my soccer ball sized BTA that is completely healthy and frequently fed with high nutrient foods like squid, clam, oyster, etc etc, still stretches around all the time. they do that, some more than others just like how some BTAs bubble and some stay stringy. its all on an individual basis.

Yes and obviously u do feed yours unlike most have said they don't....so obviously it's getting the nutrition that it needs....and ur telling miguel not to feed his...

It's laying on the fricken sand...u call that posture? I hope ur kidding me....it's like a person sitting on a chair with their back on the seat part of a chair

How old are you? I suggest you do some research. While others here have repeatedly given evidence as to why their methods and suggestions will work you have done nothing but spout of anecdotal claims that have more often than not been factually incorrect. First you claimed that BTA's do not photosynthesise, then that they must eat, and to be honest after that I lost track of the ramblings. If you will actually read it I can provide you numerous scientific studies/research which will validate our claims, including those of BTA's as a whole not being a predatory anemone. Please stop giving out information which you cannot back up. RC has a number of new refers who might actually believe what you are saying. Just because you have a few months experience in the hobby does not mean you know better than decades of research and husbandry experience.

oh my god there is absolutely no getting through to you. you are so stubborn and unwilling to accept that you are wrong. yes your right i do feed mine and im telling him not to feed it RIGHT NOW. if mine got sick or injured and it was needing to recover i would discontinue feeding as its harsh on the recovery process to feed the anemone.
you are missing the point and idk why im bothering replying you will once again try to come back with something because you cannot accept this.
you..are...unbelievable and im done.

good luck miguel i wish you the best

Some scientific things don't work....and I never said they don't photosynthesize I said it's better to feed them.....I've always known they do ok with the right lighting but his anemone has been placed on the top of the tank a couple times and just moved straight to the bottom..obviously it doesn't want more light....

Show me evidence as to why proven husbandry and care methods do not work.

Lets make this easy to understand, you're sick, really sick. Normally running, working out, eating healthy, and getting plenty of sunlight are good for you right? But you don't do that. Why? Because you are sick. You hide yourself away to protect yourself while you're weak so you can recuperate.

Can you find anything anywhere supporting your claims? Or are you going 100% based off of what your limited experience says
