Help, anemone looking weird

They are not touching each other, would she get her tentacles back, how long would it take or would she die from not eating?

in my opinion it would not be safe to try feeding again. I would use a more nutritious food than your standard Mysis or tableshrimp that people for some reason seem to like to feed their nems. I would try to use some squid or oyster just use very small pieces about the size of a dime and place it right on the mouth in hopes it would close in on it. the squid and oyster are high in lipids and would provide it with a good about of nutrition

Anemones won't die from never eating if they are healthy, and have proper light, water parameters and flow. Haven't you read the sticky's above?

Some reading for you about zooxanthellae

As long as you have good light, water parameters and flow she will live a very long time. They don't need to eat unless you wan them to grow faster and get BIG>

yea man ive read them and im well aware of this me and you were battling the domination guy over this same stuff. im just saying the anemone has pulled through i see no harm now in trying to feed. at this point it would only benefit the anemone imo

Edit: i realized you might have been talking to miguel there and not me

Hodge, I totally agree with you but Miguel asked directly " how long would it take or would she die from not eating" that is what I was answering. Nothing less nothing more LOL

But yes now Miguel can go ahead and feed his nem all he wants too, well within reason and not choking it LOL would be ok to feed it 1/2 cube of mysyis once a week or so.

That sucks man. I've been following this thread. Mainly because one of my nems looks like **** from switching tanks. Too bad this thread is done was fun to watch.

The guy at the store I bought it from actually told me that 3 out of 5 nems that they got actually died looking the same way, so am not sure what could had happen there
