IMG_0135.jpgI had a small trumpet coral with a single head for a year. One day I found the head detached and was sitting on the sand bed. Ok, stuff happens. Today when I got home a good size elegance coral was found detached and sucked into the net of a gyre pump. This also seems to have happened without warning.

Do you think it is because they were in too much flow? What should I do with the elegance coral? Will it regrow from the stalk. Should I glue the polyp to something? I will test chemistry tomorrow but it has been very constant.

Thanks

Hard to say I have never seen that before...... I dont think it will survive as it is.

I can only think your ALK is too high.

How is the rest of your tank?

here are parameters. How do you lower the alk if it is too high?
