saw this what I think is a bleached gig at my local petco...is it a gig ? and :can it be saved without a zoo transplant ???

that is more than likely a helianthus carpet. even in that condition, you should see some color in the verrucae.

The verrucae look brown or orange, indicative of S. helianthus.
