Hi,

For the past 4-5 days I am trying to catch a warsse in my tank.
I am using the trap i got from "bureau13", but with no luck, no fish entred the trap and the food is still there.

Is there anybody that can help me catching that fish (he can have the fish after he catch him) ?

I am in Ft. Lauderdale

Re-arrange all the rock in my 150 to catch a Lubocks Wrasse who was an SOB !! I tried everything, traps, nets, mirrors and nothing. Wish I had good news for you !!

Sabiki is a bait rig, it has tiny hooks with feathers like bait. You need to stop feeding the fish for a few days, and then start feeding exclusively out of the trap, replace the food after a few hours and let them get use to the trap, I have spent a few weeks trying to get the right fish to enter the trap, but sooner or later they do.

Try getting a piece of pvc pipe 1 inch or bigger about 1 -2 feet long depending on the tank size chase the fish around until he goes in the pipe.

worked for me twice in a 220 and a 180

good luck

i had luck with turning off the light in the tank then 1 minute later using a bright flashlight shine it on the fish and it was not only distracted but it could not see the net coming up behind it.

maybe not feeding the tank for a couple days may entice them into the trap.

Turning the lights off works for me too when catching cardinals. I was able to actually pet my yellow tang at 2am once.

Fish is out the tank

Hi,

The fish is finally out of the tank.
I didn't feed the fish for 3-4 days, he couldn't resist the smell of the shrimp in the trap.

davester1 what are you doing up petting your yellow tang at 2am

bureau13 Thank you very much for the trap, I'll return it this weekend.
