Help! clam trouble!

My crocea clam has been refusing to attach to my rockwork. I've been trying new spots up near the top of my tank ever few times it falls over. I finally found one it liked, but just now when i went to check on things it appears to have fallen off and ripped its foot off ( a fuzzy white thig). what should i do?

I forgot to say that the clam is extented most of the way ... if not more than it has been lately. The part that came off was definately part of it though.

It's not that bad...not there's anything you can do about it.
Do you have a flat rock that you can sit it on on the bottom of the tank for it to attach too? Then you can move it around where you want.
