Help!! copperband stopped eating

I have a copperband that used to pick at the rocks and fallen food but he stopped eating and is getting very thin. He never really went after rod's food or flake etc.. just picked at the pods and rocks.

He shows no visible signs of being sick, like ick etc..

Should I take him out and put him in a smaller tank to spot feed him or do you think that will stress him out and kill him?

Try some mussel on the half shell. You can buy fresh mussels at Jewel or Dominick's. Just split one open and put the half w/ the meat in the tank. It should help put some weight back on.

Well, He passed away..

I have had him for 7 months and he always picked at the LR and looked great, then 2 days ago, he got very skinny and today he died.
:(

This is the first fish I have lost. I have been 14 fish and they are all doing great, eating, swimming etc..

I'm not sure what went wrong. Water quality is awsome too.

You think? I got him from Deep reef in Downers grove.

When I took him out, it looked like he had a blood spot near his gill.

it takes time sometimes it all matters how much he took when caught! but like i said find someone that will get you an ausie one they alot more money but worth it:-) good luck

cyanide

Hello
Are you sure it was caught cyanide? I've been keeping and buying fish in Chicago for 30 years and every LFS I have asked, "no we don't sell poisioned fish here". If you don't belive me, ask them yourself!
