HELP: Gelatinise masses assosiated with clams?

Hi all
I'm having a problem with the ID of these gelatinise masses that seem to form around the base of my baby Max clams. I don't have a diji cam so, sorry no pics. I just want to know if this is some thing the clams are producing or if it's some kind of egg sack assoseated with parasitic snails. Here's my discription: Transparent masses about the size of a dime (10 cents), no discoloration (clear), with some visable particulate matter within (specs). If some one could post a pic of a pyramidille snail egg sack that would be great. Untill this is resolved I will continue to remove them from my system as I see them.
Thank you for any help you have to offer.

Don't have a picture, but sounds like the whelk egg sacs I scrubbed off my clam yesterday. This is the only clam I have that has these damn whelks, and now I am having trouble getting rid of them for good!

I have no experience of dealing with these snails on my clams. However, as a precaution, I would remove the clam and scrub them off before they have chance to hatch.
