Help getting RBTA off rock???

I have a RBTA that loves to split. I can only handle one in my tank so I need to sell one. The last one did not survive being removed. :sad2: I tried ice on the foot, credit card under the edge, and dangling it over water. Nothing worked.

Any tips for removing this one. It is on my main rock work so I can't break the rock.

A little of both has worked well for me. Good luck with the extraction!!! :-). Send him my way when ya get him off. ;-)

if possible turn the rock upside down resting on a container, if he climbs to the top keep turning him upside down, he will eventually either drop off into the container or grab onto it and crawl down, hopefully on the inside, but even on the outside it's easy to remove them from a flat plastic surface. That is how i do mine and it usually takes 2 to 3 days at most. also if he climbs down the outside of the container he may go into the sand where you can easily pick him up.
it is the least stressful way i have found and they never have to come out of the water or be picked at and peeled off anything.
