My carpet had a neon green candy cane frag fall onto it and it closed up to about the size of a quarter and the candy cane was like 6 heads plus a plug what can i do.

There isn't much ypu can do just let it be after you remove the candy canes it should be just fine, as for the candy canes they probally will be fine too but there are chances of some die off.

Don't worry about the Haddoni, they can/will fully retract into/under the sand, to the point where you can't see it anymore (( pictures below ))

As for the candy cane, depending on how long it was on the Haddoni it might be a goner. IME, if you don't remove the frag right away from the Haddoni it will die --- at least the part that was touching it.

Both are the same Haddoni -- something had fallen into it, and it fully retracted.

How it normally looks.

Well i cant get the frag out at all the carpet it fully retracted and i cant see any part of the frag to get it out.

i tried i cant even see any part of the frag or the mouth of the carpet. This way sucks i dont wanna loose the carpet the candy canes are replaceable.

When they're healthy they're pretty tough. I think it'll spit out the skeleton and be done with it.

Well he is starting to open up. But there is no sign of the candy canes or the frag plug. So lets just hope for the best.

Keep us updated. I've had frags fall into mine but that's usually been small SPS frags. I'd like to know how it deals with something that large.... Whether it digests the whole thing or just spits it out.

Years ago one of my Haddoni ate a Queen Conch, shell and all. It ended up "spitting" the shell back out, and was fine.

Well he looks better spit out the skeleton of the candy canes but not the plug hopefully he spits the plug out to for his own health. Wow that was kinda scary for me. Did a 25 gallon water change and making more now for another water change on monday or so.
