who has an idea what the in the world this thing is? the part that came out was a good 5 inches long...no telling how much longer it really is...and there is a clear slime around the hole that it swims/climbs through...
ok, did some looking around...and judging by its size...it didn't need to be in a 29gal biocube...took the rock out (was the base of my aquascaping!!!) and split the rock in half...out he poured..see pics!
Your pic is a lot better than mine but I think I have the same worm. Greenbean says mine could be (but I didn't have enough of the worm) Oenone fulgida. You could google that and see. I haven't lost any snails, though. This is the pic of mine
Oenone fulgida, matches up very well...i did find a snail over the same hole this guy was found in and this clear mucas was all around it...i chucked the snail in a live rock bin maybe he'll recover...so taking this worm out appears to be a good move. thanks!
