Bought it because it was pretty but not sure exactly what type it is. Any help?

Looks like a tube anemone (Cerianthus sp.).

Ceriathus sp.~tube anemone. You beat me to it and spelled it correctly! In my defense I copy and pasted the spelling from live aquaria.

Just FYI, that is possibly the worst thing you can say when it comes to anemones. Many species have very specific requirements and will die if they are not treated properly. We always recommend looking them up in case it won't fit your setup OR will eat your fish. My tube anemone ate a neon goby the day after I added it.

The one you have needs to be in sand or mud, obviously. At least 2-3 inches deep. It likes the lowest flow possible. The lower the better. And it doesn't use light at all, so you can place it in the dark under a rock ledge for all it cares. However, it will need to be fed at LEAST 3 times a week to stay healthy. It really should be fed small bits daily. Good luck with it.
