Help identifying cause of death Potter's Angel

Hello all,
Lost my potter's angel today, two days before finishing TTM. Was a bummer. Was hoping to learn and get some thoughts about cause of death. The fish was fine for the last 10 days. However had difficult eating which i understand is somewhat normal for new potter's as they are shy. He did seem to be breathing heavily the last day or two. The day he died I notice this white spot on his belly. However didn't notice anything before today. Thinking it might be a bacterial infection but was hoping to get some thoughts as I'm not great at identifying diseases.
Thanks,
Jay

Hard to say. Almost looks like some kind of body ulceration - uronema or marine tuberculosis. Potters are tough. I've had the most success putting them into my coral QT, where there is some live rock for them to graze. I only treat if symptoms present, and then only after fish is eating.

Thanks for the suggestions. I"m encouraging some hair algae growth in my qt and thinking of trying again without doing ttm.

Potters angels may be hard to come by for a bit. My wife just told me the put a ban on collection from Hawaii.

Really, live aquaria had a great sale on them, got one for $69 but they don't have anymore. Might just get a flame or coral beauty.
