Help in ID BSP or something else?

Can someone please tell me what the brown fuzzy, fernlike, abundant stuff is in my tank? It's tending to spread and take over everything.

Is it detrimental? It's certainly invasive and does sweem to want to cover up everthing, zoanthids, etc...

They all look rather "fernlike" with flat feathery tentacles not tubular like most green or brown star polyps I've seen. They're obvi

ously filter-feeders with arms like that. They do close up when bothered. They're not as colorful as they appear in the photos (thank you flash!), they're more brown that anything else.

Those are cloves, they are nice. You can bring some of those to the store for store credits.

Like star polyps they can take over.
