HELP. Lights off for 22 hours!

Of course this happens the one time I have to stay 2 hours late for a meeting. I must have hit the power switch on my lights when doing a wc last night. My lights have been off since 10pm last night until I got home at 7pm tonight.

How should I wing my tank back to the normal time? And did I do any strong damage to my stock?

I did something similiar to my tank, I just resumed normal lighting hours and had no ill effects.

I look at it as if a hurricane was passing over, there would be many hours without sunlight, and the corals still survive.

Just continue your normal daylight cycle. Don't try to makeup time without lights. Consider it a tropical storm over the reef

My tank normally turns off in 2 hours. That would only give them 3 hours of total light. Just go with it?

I went away for a weekend and put my lights on timers.I guess I didnt know how to program them,the lights were off for almost 3 days with no problems.

Dont realy worry about it..

People deliver corals of all types in boxes that are pitch black for 24 hours.

If your REALY worried, just start out with a slower light schedule, and build it up to the regular time you had it at before..

I realy dont see this as anything to worry about.

Relax, these animals are fragile but they do live on this planet that has storms. Tides come in and go out and some days it rains.

Thanks for the support. I'm sure they'll be fine. I saw a couple a critters that I've never seen before when I came home. Maybe all that darkness encouraged 'em to come out.
