HELP ME ID HITCHHIKER friend or foe?

I just got a leather coral and as I was putting it in the tank this
guy crawled off, Is he a good witch or a bad witch er....starfish

i couldnt get my camera to focus right

so did this guy find a new home or does he have to walk the green mile?

Supposed to be an algae eater. I've pulled a lot off my corals though, they multiply quickly.

my experience is different, I have about 50-75 in my tank, and have not had any problems with them eating coral. From what I understand, there are a few different types that look very similar though.
 
hmmmmmm..............i feel bad just throwing him out
but if he kills something i'll feel way worse
too bad i only have one tank

Put him in your sump. Asterina. Eats coralline in my tank---but I don't have any leather corals. I always say---you find hitchhikers on what they eat.
