There are about 5-6 frags of them that I can see

No kidding, I thought it was LPS. I cooked this rock in the bin for about 2-3 months in complete darkness.... and it survive setting up the tank.

looks like it is encrusting on the rock to me . does it look that way to you ? if so i think pavona still . somewhat tough to see in the picture but I'm pretty sure .

I think it is Pavona, I checked on Melev and he got a picture that look exactly like it. But yea... I've been seeing this thing encrusting, not growing upward

cool it is usually pretty bright and looks good also . i personally like it ,hope you do . if you are trying to eradicate it you can use some aptasia x or joes juice and that will remove it very effectively .
i like the hitchhikers usually as they are freebees and usually something that you weren't planning to purchase then find out it really is cool and you will very well like it .

no it will encrust on the rock work . you should know that if its near another coral and is more aggresive than it ,it can overgrow that coral . it doesn't grow fast and you will be able to see what its doing before it hurts anything . are you planning on getting more corals ?

lots more in the future! Just letting everything grows out now. I was planning on having a some encrusting monti on this rock but I guess I will just leave the pavona to grown
