dropped a small screw into my tank when I was cleaning the glass over the lights. for the life of me I can not find it. I have moved the rock, sifted the sand and still no luck. What should I do. I have a lps dominated reef tank

If it is steel, and small, I wouldn't worry too much, but if you really need it out, get a magnet (the ones at a farm supply store-cow magnets are strong and a good shape) and put it in a plastic bag and poke it all over. You may see a rusty spot appear within a couple of days, then you can find it. IMO forget about it if its small.

it is small. It was holding glass in place for my metal halide. I hope it is steel. No one seems bothered today. I used a tunze magnet to see if I could find it but it could be anywhere. I am ok with keeping it as long as my tank will not crash and my inverts/coral die. I moved a bunch of rock but if I do not have to take it all apart I do not want to. Thanks
