Help... my 150W ARO ballast just died!

Hey guys,

1. Anyone here know how to get an ARO ballast repaired?
2. Anyone got a Spare 150W/175W MH Ballast I can borrow for a couple weeks?
3. If neither 1 or 2, does anyone have some spare space in a frag area I can use until I get a replacement? I would need about 8 x 10 inches and stable for SPS.


It figures, after I fill up my frag area, I would have the ballast I use to light the frag area die. It apparently started dying as soon as I put frags in. Hahaha.

Sell off some of the $237409280 worth of items you won in the raffle @ RAP....................that should get you enough money to buy a new ballast. Hellolights will allow you to will call a new ballast........lol

Since hellolights is so close, I will probably just pick up a new one and turn the old one in for repair.

hey slavearm your sps should be fine for a few days with out lights. Trust me I know. Mine where with out a light since saturday and they just got first light since then today. Forgot to reseat the ACjr unit. They are all fine, but yeah get a replacement ballast from Hellolights or borrow Chris's ballast.

They have been without light since the weekend. The ballast turns on for about 5 minutes then dies. So I set the ACIII to run it from midnight until 6am. So I never seen it on except for when I tested it after adding frags this weekend. Of course it worked, and I wasnt didnt realize it was dying. So this morning I got up early and went to check on my frags... hmmm WTH why isn't the light on. Went through a spat of troubleshooting. It was really confusing because the ballast turned back on.... so I thought my DC8 was messed up... nope. Long story short. Corals with no light for 3 days now going on 4. I will have something working tonight though.
