Help - Nano Skimmer 9002 with no bubbles

I found the my 9002 does not produce bubbles at all after last night, I just cleaned few weeks ago. I always have issues with it, I usually have to pull it out of water while plug in to get it start to produce bubbles but this does not work anymore. The pump is working fine as I took it out and test it, it seems like not pulling air. I removed the blue screw and it is still the same and even replace the air host.

How long have you been using the skimmer? When did you start having problems with air flow? I would double check that the hose is not pinched, especially under the top cover. Also, check that the pump itself is running. Make sure that while cleaning it you did not leave out the white prenozzle inside the venturi nozzle, if you disassembled this part. Also, check the elbow that connects the airline to the pump for clogs, it is very narrow inside and I have seen them clog with calcium and salt creep.

Air host is fine, blow air into it and felt on the other end, as I stated, i even replace it. I cleaned the blue screw hole to make sure no salt creep in there too. Pump also work as I also make a mess to test it. I did took the elbow out to clean it and there is no clog.

I have the skimmer for around 8 months. It seems like the venturi not pull in air anymore. If I blow air into the host while running, I see some bubbles for few seconds only.

to hop on this thread a bit, how long does the skimmer usually take to start working? I just installed it last night; it's bubbling right now, just not high enough to spill over at all. I checked the tubing, and from what I can see, it's not pinched. The pump is working.. I adjusted the valve to let more air in (and less..)
I guess I'll just have to wait a few days for it to break in.

If the tank has something in it to be skimmed, i.e. it is an established set up, it will usually start skimming in 2-3 days. It will take a couple weeks to fully break in and get the air flow adjusted optimally.

OK, can you tell me more and answer some of the questions I asked you in the other threads you posted on. Does the air adjustment respond to changes you make, i.e. do the bubbles increase when you open the screw and decrease when you close it? Is anything collecting in the cup, have you tried opening the air adjustment screw if not?

yes it does respond to changes I make.. it's at the lowest it can possibly be and it's still bubbling like crazy. the skimmer is sitting above the water level mark...

there is a ton of water collecting in the cup.. too much in fact. that's the problem.

OK, I think we can determine that the upper lid is the problem, PM me your name and address and we will send you one. The thread must be too large so air is seeping by the screw.
