Help Needed - Tunze 7015/2 Calcium Kit

I just received this new Tunze (Machery-Nagel) test kit and don't understand the instructions. All was well until I read the last statement:

"This method can be applied also for the analysis of sea water after dilution (1:5) and using 6 drops of sodium hydroxide solution instead of 2 drops"

Does this mean that I dilute the saltwater with 5 parts freshwater and then do the test as normal except add more drops, or is the dilution factor applied to the whole mixture?

Also, I'm used to measured calcium in ppm, with a target of 450, but the kit measures in mmol/l. I don't understand the conversion between the two.

Thanks

In the box should be a seperate set of instructions that are on a white paper, a standard sheet folded with a Tunze letterhead. These are the modified instructions for saltwater with the dilution and a table for the titration with the result in PPM. The included instructions from Machery Nagel are more applicable for a municipal water test.

Thanks - I see that now. At first glance it all looked like a different language so I set it aside. The included paper says to use the 1:5 dilution, but then add 3 drops of the sodium hydroxide solution. The other instruction sheet says to use 6 drops - can you confirm which is correct?

Appreciate the help.

The Tunze instructions are correct, we developed them with Machery Nagel specifically to adapt the kit to saltwater aquariums.
