Help Needed With Anemone

I just got my first anemone -- a Long Tentacle Anemone. He inflated nicely and extended his tentacles as soon as I took him out of the shipping bag and put him in the tank. My problem is that he is so buoyant that I can't keep him on the rock where I place him. He either falls over or falls off the rock onto the sand. I turn my powerheads off at night and this morning he was laying in the sand. What am I supposed to do?

M.doreensis are a sand dwelling anemone. Leave it in the sand. In fact, you can even dig a lil hole for it t o put its foot into with hopes of it staying put.

I place LTA's in sand tucked between a couple rocks to help stabilize till they set foot.
They are a little fussy about light/flow IME, so I like to put them close to a shelf or cave so they can pull in/out of light as needed.
Moderate flow, tents gently waving.
Moderate light.

Thanks guys. Yes I found out that he's a sand dweller so I dug a little hole and put him in. The next day he had well and truly dug himself in (you cannot see his "stem" anymore). I read that you should keep them away from rocks as they can grow to 18" so I put him in the middle of the tank where he gets medium flow with the Vortechs on and minimal at night with them off. I have a 60" long x 24" deep tank with a 250 W MH over the middle and LEDs at each end. He seems happy so far and has not wandered. I did give him a shrimp morsel when he first went in and he gobbled it up.
I was amazed when he ballooned up after I put him in the tank particularly after opened the shipping box and seeing this flat looking empty packet with no water. Amazing animals.

I've never bought an anenome and had it shipped to me...seriously, it came without water? How can it survive?
