Help, new anemone not sticking to anything!

I put this anemone in my tank about a week ago, and it has moved around, and tonight, I found it free floating around my tank.

I've tried burrying it's foot in the sand, and it crawls right out. It wont stick to rock or glass. It seems to just want to float around, which is exactly what I don't want it to do. It will probably find a nice place behind a piece of LR where I can't see it.

Should I just let it float?

I've gently wedged it in between a large piece of LR and a small piece, hoping it will find a happy home there.

just leave it be...it probably wont stay where you put it as LTA prefer to be in the sand, how deep is your sandbed?

I agree turn off powerheads and make sure any intakes are protected and let it settle on its own. My carpet floated for days a couple years ago.

I'll leave the powerheads off tonight and let my canister filter and skimmer turn the water. My sand bed is about 2 - 2.5" deep.

I had the same issue with my purple LTA, it floated around for a week, then finally got sucked into my closed loop intake, but I found within minutes and it was fine, but still rolled around, and this morning i put it in a corner where there is hardly any flow andplaced rocks all around it, and i think for the first time its looks like its trying to push its foot up underneath the rock
